PEMBROKE JUNIOR SCHOOL REDEVELOPMENT
Created as part of the Government’s Building the Education Revolution Stimulus Package, Pembroke School engaged Hardy Milazzo to design and deliver their new Junior School facilities within the Girton Campus.
The project comprised of a new Administration area developed from existing classroom spaces, a state-of-the-art Classroom block and Early Learning Centre. The new Classroom and Early Learning Centre combined national Best-Practice Principles of educational design and Environmentally Sustainable Design with the spirit of Pembroke School, developed through a highly interactive educator-led design process. The result is a suite of buildings which will settle into the continually refining Pembroke campus, on their completion in late 2010. The facilities will greatly enhance Pembroke’s ability to deliver a quality educational curriculum from early childhood right through to University years and maintain their position as one of Adelaide’s leading independent schools. This project received an ‘Excellence in Commercial Refurbishment/ Redevelopment’ award for Kennetts Constructions at the 2011 Australian Institute of Building Awards
