CITY OF PLAYFORD CIVIC CENTRE AND LIBRARY

Hardy Milazzo were selected to design this new $12m Civic Centre for the City of Playford at Elizabeth. The Centre comprises Library, Customer Service Area, Function Centre, Great Hall, meeting facilities and includes refurbishment of the existing 1960s Shedley Theatre.

The Library of over 1,300 sqm was carefully planned to reflect new trends in library design and to accommodate the existing collections. A strong emphasis on technology is demonstrated in the layout. Vivid colour has been used against a neutral palette to add character and excitement to this Library.
