PORT ROAD OFFICE BUILDING 2

As part of the Port Road Historic Commercial Precinct, Hardy Milazzo have been working very closely and collaboratively with Mossop Construction and Interiors to develop 159 Port Road – a 3-level, 4200m2 commercial office building which is aiming for a 5 Star ‘Green Star’ environmental rating. The building was designed in two wings with separate identities, (the green and the white) for up to 6 separate tenants. Hills Industries saw the potential of the landmark, and entered into a long-term lease.

Sustainable initiatives for the building include highly refined façade solutions incorporating tailored sun-shading and high-performance glass, a readily demountable, pre-fabricated façade panel system, rainwater harvesting and re-use for toilets and landscaping, a highly efficient active chilled-beam air-conditioning system, bicycle facilities including secure storage, change rooms and lockers, zero-water landscaping.

The highly identifiable corner building forms part of the larger arrangement of buildings on the site, centring on the State Heritage listed Church.
