
UniHealth GP SUPERCLINIC, PLAYFORD NORTH
The $5m GP Superclinic, Playford North is a combined effort of Adelaide Unicare, the University of Adelaide, UniSA and the Australian Federal Government. It is a new medical clinic and teaching facility over a single level, located southeast of a proposed town centre development in Munno Para West. The building is one of the first structures at the proposed town centre. The building’s gross area is 1,180sqm.
Access to the building for pedestrians is via Curtis Road and a secondary eastern entry via a proposed minor road. Carparking will be provided to the north of the site accessed from a proposed minor road. The site area is 2,100 square metres and will be provided with an open courtyard.
The project delivers a functional, attractive and modern facility that meets quality standards and statutory requirements. With careful liaison with the stakeholders the facility provides functionality, enhanced workflow and ensures effective and efficient service delivery outcomes.
Playford GP Superclinic is a 34 room facility including nurse treatment rooms, counselling, students’ study, community meeting rooms, lifestyle clinic, sterilization room, Clean Needle Program, administration/reception, IT, staff room, pathology and radiology. The facility accommodates general practitioners, nurse practitioners, specialist of target group and medical teaching practitioners.
